Well the preliminary report from the Archeological Society of Maryland is:
The structure in the back of my house is a Water Trough.

They have taken all my artifacts that I found and will share them with their colleges, and get back to me in a week or so.

They also need to get the brick out of the structure to get a rough estimate of how old the structure is.

Also the gold was fool’s gold or pyrite.

I still need to find out why the spirits are here and if there was a house previously on my property.

I would like to thank all of you for your wonderful help with this endeavor.
It has been a lot of fun, and any new information that I find out I will continue to share with you.

Ah, so no secret bodies or hidden corpses, (relief)! So now you know and my feeling is perhaps the water trough was never used so that is why there is no algae marking? Interesting to find out what the exact date is and hey, maybe your paranormal activity is connected to what was before your property...thanks for sharing this experience with us, it has been fun and a relief that it was not indeed a stone coffin.

Oh excellent! I'm glad you haven't been living so close to a tomb.

I had just seen Gerry's comparsion pics of water troughs and had the thought that maybe the builders had buried the trough while they were excavating your land, rather than have to carry it away.

Well that's that then I guess. It was intriguing. What you gonna do with it now Autman, just bury it again?

To the answer why it was so clean:
According to the Archeologist it is the acidity in the soil and the lack of sunlight together that work against algae, and destroy it.

It is not quite over yet folks.
I said the preliminary report was that it is a water trough.
It still has to be looked at by the real experts.
The archeologist with the Park and planning commission.
They are at the state level.
And I found some human hair and small bone fragments.
The hair my be to expensive to test but the bone can be checked out to see if it is human or animal.

A found a total of 23 different artifacts that they will look at, and there is still two large piles of soil that I have to sift threw.

Plus I have to chisel out the brick so we can see how old it is.

We have to look at land records to see if there was a farm house here.

They are going to send me some archeology students from the university of Maryland to help me.

So we still have some more work to do before we can eliminate everything
including the possibility of a body or body's being dumped in the trough.

I'm still having disturbances in my basement.

I put plywood and plastic over the trough, and I swear last night I could here something knocking on wood.

Also every time I start typing to sites about what I'm doing the electronic toy's go off.

I wished it was all over but this is going to take some time.

As to stuff happening when you type: I was blogging last night about a haunted cemetery I had visited and my dining room table, which is very old, started creaking and cracking and thumping noises came from it. A little disconcerting, yes.
