I love the way he writes, and agree with the ideas he expresses. Thanks for this one, Patty. Food for thought, as always. Smiley31

I like this too. I read through all the comments, too. The interesting one was the guy with the skin tumors. I believe a lot of faith healing is simply the placebo effect; if your faith in God's healing is strong enough, or if your general faith in a higher power is such that you believe you will be healed, you will be.

If your belief is strong enough but your body just cannot deal because you have waited too long to let the effect work, then no healing takes place.

In my eyes it is not necessarily a question of a certain religion or belief in a certain kind of God, it's more like the belief and trust you lay in someone/something other than yourself that helps your body find its own healing. And yes, I've seen what the power of prayer can do, and I believe it works. So if you call it God, Jesus, Buddha, the Higher Power..... it doesn't matter, it's all the same thing to me.

Trying not to inflame a religious discussion here. I respect everyone's beliefs; this is just my take on it. I find this guy's work interesting!!

I totally agree Q. Irrespective of religion, I believe that prayer (or focus) can be a very powerful way of unlocking or tapping into whatever it is that we need. Though I don't believe it's a foolproof way of getting what we want. I think other factors come into play like karma and what the true intention of our desire is. And also destiny!

My brother had a disformed arm when he was born. It wasn't really broken, but it came out really wrong when he came out on this world. He couldn't move it at all. My dad prayed and cried. And after that suddenly he moved his arm. It was a miracle in front of our eyes. Smile

Great article - I agree as well, sometimes God heals and other times, He doesn't. When my son was ill, we prayed for a miracle, and lots prayed for him as well....the miracle happened after two years, God took my son out of his pain and took him home. That was an answer to prayer for us.
