This is not a ghost picture, but I put it here anyway. What do you all think?

Astral body photo?
"I have worked with energy all my life and I wanted to try to take a photograph of my astral body," says Adrian Ravarour. "It's difficult for most people to astral project when awake, but I knew I could push my energy out in front of myself. So, I gathered my energy at my chest, then rotated fast as I pushed my energy (astral body) in front of myself. At the point where my body stopped turning and my energy continued, I clicked the shutter as I held the camera in one hand."

Hmm, as I understand astral travel, the whole point of it is that your spirit leaves your body. To be able to do this one would have to begin by getting into a meditative state and then will the spirit to eject from the body ... or so I believe. If this is the case then I don't understand how it's also possible to be able to have control over your bodily functions so that you could operate a camera at the same time.

Reading through the comments on that site, I see that someone else had a similar query and the man in question has responded with the following ...

"Duality of consciousness is not the hypothesis. Unity of consciousness is the premise. When one learns to spiritualize one’s own person there is less or no seperation- that’s how I took this actual photo of myself. It is not a trick. I do not know how to image-paint or photoshop. Enjoy!"

Maybe I am too ignorant on the subject to understand what he's saying but it still doesn't make sense to me. Now if he was talking about pushing his aura out and photographing that, I would be able to accept it more readily as auras can be photographed with the right equipment, but I'm not really buying what he's saying.

Maybe he is confusing the aura with the astral. I am also wondering why did he do this with black and white film? All energies are beautiful and to me in this photo everything looks like a mess.

I have to agree. I am not buying a word of this, but wanted to see if I was being too rash in my decision. I wanted to see what others thought about it. Something about it just does not feel right to me. Confused

Sounds like a bunch of doublespeak to me. And what's with the spinning? Okay, so I didn't take physics, but I know if you spin something around, it goes to the outside, like the water on the lettuce in the lettuce spinner, so was he trying to spin his astral self out of his body? How can he do this if he has "unity of consciousness"?

I agree with Ruby. I can't see it being possible to be in motion during astral projection.

This one screams hoax to me and very loudly. It's a shame people like this are so keen on calling attention to themselves.

I think the proper term for these types of people is: Attention seekers! Its a shame really that they think everyone is so dense that they would buy things like this. Of course we all know that there are people out there ooing and awing over this *bleep*! Its that small percentile that keep fools like this going.

It looks like you could get almost the same effect with a reflection of wadded up piece of aluminum foil. I just may have to try it.
